I hate that superstition so much, and I've heard it a lot more since Horus (best cat we had ever had that was black) died, he was run over by a car.
I hate how people go to extremes and would actually kill these wonderful things. Every single black cat my family owned were the best ones we ever had before my cat's kittens came into the family (they are great cats, a nice change from the grumpy, demanding one we have now.)
I like this. Seriously, most shelters wont let people adopt black cats around halloween because people just take them home to torture because they are "bad luck", or "witches", or "evil spirits. Dont make an animals suffer because youre superstitious
I hate superstitious people. Animals have to suffer because of human ignorance. Black cat just means that the cat's fur is black it's pretty racist to say it mean "bad luck" lol. It's funny to say but the superstition should never be taken seriously.
Yeah, its mostly halloween, because of the whole black cats and witches thing. its common superstition that black cats are witches them selves, or are their assitants/compaions and can summon witches. So some wack jobs think they are protecting themselves and others by killing the cats. Others just think they are bad luck and prefer to kill them before they walk past them and give them bad luck. People are freaks about it, like honestly its a cat. Than there are the people who just do it for fun which is even worse.
God, what is wrong with people? Thats awful! Well, I'm glad the shelters try to prevent that from happening around Halloween....but that makes me seriously worry for all the animals. Unfortunately you usually can't tell who is wrong in the head and who isnt
It's actually true, but that is actually the same with black dogs too... Not the superstition for dogs but because people find them less attractive and they have a hard time getting adopted from shelters.
For cat's it's worse, I think it might have something to do with witches and the plague, but people will even kill them on Halloween.
